This Symposium was held at Wake Forest University School of Law on January 28, 2022. Speakers included Alexander Tsesis, Michael J. Perry, Steven J. Heyman, Davison Douglas, Mary-Rose Papandrea, John Llewellyn, Richard Hasen, Derek Muller, Michael Morley, and Michael Kent Curtis. The Symposium explored modern democracy through the lens of First Amendment jurisprudence and election law, featuring discussions on incitement and insurrection, human and constitutional rights, free speech and the press, and contemporary issues in election law.
